New options will be displayed, so take a look at the following carefully:

  • Main display: Upload a custom background for the main display. If only one monitor is connected to your video system, this background will show up.
  • Extended display: This wallpaper will be displayed on the second monitor that is connected to your video system, if it's not connected, this background won't be shown and only the main display image will show up.
  • Console: Completely optional, and this one will be displayed only on the Touch Controller. If no image is uploaded, a purple gradient default image will be displayed.

After assigning a configuration profile, the new wallpapers will be applied as the background of MTRoA devices accordingly.

Note: As per as Microsoft documentation, after that, the custom background will be applied, as I mentioned it, however, I had to apply it manually. Don't be afraid about that, check out the next section and apply the new background manually, if needed. The second time I uploaded a background, my MTRoA displayed it automatically.

Switching Background from built-in images to custom ones and vice versa

Get into Teams Admin settings by going to More -> Settings -> Device Settings -> Admin Settings -> Teams admin Settings.

Creating a custom background

In order to create custom backgrounds, you can download the MTRoA custom background template here, that template is a .psd file that can be opened by Photoshop, for instance. The template is only needed if you need to display some logos, icons or things like that and in this way, you will make sure you're  they won't be obscured/blocked by home screen elements.
